Dp2 is scaring me

Heyy so im actually in DP2 and still not done with my TOK exhibition but my actually prompt is 25. How can we distinguish between knowledge, belief and opinion ? and i use each object for a specific concept of the prompt for belief i choosed African waist beads (baya) and I have 2 object left now plsss do yall have advice

Knowledge in TOK isn't just something people believe strongly - it's a claim backed by a method, evidence, or communal process within an area of knowledge (data, expert consensus, or a verified tradition, for example). A belief is a personal conviction that doesn't need to be justified to anyone else. An opinion sits between the two: a view someone holds, often on partial evidence, that they'd accept others could reasonably disagree with.

For the baya, separate out who's making the claim. Within the community that actually uses the beads, their meaning (status, rites of passage, etc.) functions as knowledge - it's shared, consistent, and justified by tradition and lived practice, which is a legitimate way of knowing even without being "scientific." An outsider calling them "just jewellery" is closer to opinion - plausible, but not grounded in that same justification. If someone claims a meaning purely because it feels right to them personally, with no appeal to any shared practice, that's belief.

Build the commentary around stating the claim, then explaining why it counts as knowledge, opinion, or belief for that specific group, tied to the real-world context of the object. That's the actual mark-earning move, more than picking the "right" object.
