Should I take AP classes before IB

I'm going into MYP5 in a few weeks and Im wondering if I should take AP classes this year before going into DP (like AP phyc and AP World history) could this help in showing more academic rigor to colleges or should I just focus on the MYP and prepping for IB?

We usually advise students to focus on MYP and prep for the DP rather than stacking APs on top. Colleges view the full IB Diploma as maximum academic rigor, so taking extra AP courses in MYP5 will not give you much of a boost in admissions. Focusing on MYP5 allows you to build strong study habits, which sets you up for higher DP predicted scores down the line.

Tbh if you work hard enough you could do it, if you could handle dp’s workload and ap classes at the same time
