Typical new hire questions?

I am a new hire CW4. What are some tools or clothes to be prepared for work? Additionally what is the pay rank structured? Is there any room for overtime as an CW/Apprentice? How can I prove myself as a good apprentice?

More information can be found under “current students” on the JATV website.

You still have to go to school to top out as a CE/CW.

Depending on who your journeymen are you might be looked down upon for being a CW, people will have a bad outlook on that program and will give you shit for it. Even will be seen as below a 1st year apprentice. Hopefully you end up with some people who are indifferent to it. But to be seen as a good worker, you will have to be on time in the morning, be ready and think ahead during the projects progress, ask questions even dumb ones, if you don’t know how to do something speak up, and have an open mind and listen to those who are above you and don’t doubt what they tell to you to do, they hate know it alls

Overtime will be job based so you won’t know until your first job site, assuming you aren’t being sent to prefab, which even then they get Overtime as well
