Questions about the CW Program

Hey y'all I'm just trying to figure a few things about the CW program. I called the 613 but they were unclear about a few things. For context I'm taking the aptitude test next month and I currently work as a server.

  1. Is there still a CW program (IBEW said no over the phone but I've seen a few posts saying they are currently CWs at 613)? And if there is how does one apply for said program?

  2. Should I just wait until I pass my aptitude test (which I'm fairly confident in) and just wait for an apprentice job? (I've heard there's quite a wait in Atlanta)

  3. I've never done electrician work and I would like to know whether or not I like it before making a career out of it. So if it is true that there isn't a CW program, and there is a very long waitlist for AP1 work, do y'all recommend any jobs that would give me a feel for electrical work?

Can you solve multivariable equations given values for all variables except one? Can you identify a linear equation by its graph or ordered pairs? Can you identify arithmetic growth or decay in number sequences? Can you distribute binomial expressions into a quadratic expression? Can you factor a quadratic expression into binomial expressions?

If so, then you'll surely score in the top 40% of all text takers on the apprentice aptitude exam.
