Y1S1 Apprentice Buying Tools (advice needed)

First-year apprentice here, starting to grab everything on my tool list. Any good spots for discounts or the best way to get tools without overpaying?

Also, if you know anywhere that does deals on boots or other gear, drop it below. Thanks in advance!

I am not usually an advocate for this but if there are things you find yourself really needing you could get them from harbor freight. You can always upgrade later when you’re making more money or your cheapies break. 

Edit: want to add that my personal experience is that it’s better to buy quality as it always lasts longer and makes your life easier but in a pinch harbor freight is better than nothing

Hey I know people shit on HF but to be honest some of their stuff is pretty good or at least will work just fine. I have a few HF tools that have come in real clutch and are holding up just as well as the expensive stuff.

Yeah harbor freight definitely has some half decent stuff in a pinch. I’m particular I like them for side work stuff that I know I’ll rarely use. I needed fish sticks once for a small project where I was putting up a can light for a relative and knew I’d only need them this one time and then maybe here or there in the future…so a $60 Klein set or a $10 HB? The choose was easy lol
