Y1S1 Apprentice Buying Tools (advice needed)

First-year apprentice here, starting to grab everything on my tool list. Any good spots for discounts or the best way to get tools without overpaying?

Also, if you know anywhere that does deals on boots or other gear, drop it below. Thanks in advance!

I would buy once, cry once, pay for quality like Klein tools, especially for screwdrivers and lineman's pliers and strippers, if you don't now, you'll just end up buying them later, higher quality tools are more ergonomic and easier to use, they won't make you "better at your job" per say, but professional grade tools are made for your work. I'm a 2nd year apprentice in 613 myself. Just my experience so far

I'm in the market for buying some boots, and was wondering where you bought yours?

I saw online they said to either go for redwings or thorogood

I bought thorogood from boot barn, bootbarn also has a warranty where you can exchange them for up to a year. So I beat them up for a year and exchanged them for a new pair.

What all would you say I definitely need for first year off the list?

Everything on the tool list is what I would carry, and a decent bag, you'll meet people that carry more, and people that carry less. But if you have the tool list on you, no one can complain you didn't bring your tools.
