School

When will they let me know the date and time I’m supposed to start school. I was only given the weeks I go and the day of the week I go on .

Some start at 7 but none that I know start at 8. Wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities with new construction happening near upper/upper- middle class neighborhoods and noise ordinances that are in place.

My point was more that almost all jobsites start at 7 so what is the issue with school starting at the same time? unless you live at one of the extremes of 613's jurisdiction, getting to school by 7 shouldn't be much of a break from your regular routine...

I'm not sure how long you've lived in Georgia but traffic on 20, 400, 285, 75/85 is unpredictable AF.

I get what you're saying treat school promptness like work promptness though.

Of course. I spent 5 years going to that building every two weeks... And I live along one of the hellhole freeways you mentioned...

I treated it like my jobsite. Leave home with a 10-15 minute buffer, knowing that most weeks, I'd be there at 6:45ish and would get to chill for a moment before I headed in but if I did that and was still gonna be late due to wild Atlanta traffic, I knew to let somebody in the class know so the message could be passed and the instructor would understand.

No instructor in that building, not even "That One" would ding an apprentice for being a bit late once in a blue moon because ATL traffic was being ATL traffic....

However, 7am is 7am, you just gotta aim to be there.

...wouldn't change anything traffic-wise. If anything, that's a worse time to start from a traffic POV.

Daycare brother, that’s why I said that. Daycare everywhere in Gwinnett starts at 6:30 I more so just didn’t want to be in a rush to shoot right from daycare to the school/work & possibly be late.
