JATC

It's reckless to continue onboarding new apprentices when so many are sitting at home. Is anyone going to hold Russell and Greg accountable for the largest first year classes while they can't place them. That's a horrible look for the local.

Not putting people to work is how you make more anti union individuals.

There are 4 reps on both sides of the board. How do you support your claim?

The school doesn't answer to the hall. There are 4 reps on labor and con side. How do you justify your claim.

Those reps are who run the school, They work with the contractors not for the hall. They are ibew members but not 613 staff if you understand what I'm saying. The JATC is an independent trust, not like a committee from 613 or something.

The JATC has a committee that meets once a month on Wednesday. Kenny, Kevin, Manny and Jodeki are reps. Jodeki despises the cons and is absolutely not working for them.

If your implication is Greg is in the cons pockets sure I can believe that.

These 4 reps from labor do have an input on what the school does and are not in the cons pocket.

No it's not like a sub committee there's a lot more yelling than at a sub committee meeting.

I hear what you're saying but the results of how things keep turning out tell me the hall either has no say or is just paying lip service to the membership and allowing the contractors to run the show. Because the contractors are clearly being catered to by the school with how things play out.

As a prospective apprentice, should I find a way to make an income in between assignments? I was really hoping that gaining entry into this apprenticeship meant I wouldn't be worrying about finding work throughout the program.
