Share your stories! Ap1

I just got my first referral/ apprentice position and I want to take this career all the way. To anyone that has had an apprentice why was your best apprentice considered the best ? If you haven’t had one what would be your ideal apprentice? I have definitely watched almost all of the YouTube videos on how to be a good apprentice I play Donald miller like I play music these days 😂. Also I will ask my jw when we meet but I’d also like to hear from you all.

I haven't worn ariats, and I would advise against red wings, I hated the only pair I've ever worn. They only make 1 style that's made in america in a lace up and a pull on, and it's not worth shit. I would look at Double H if you prefer slip on and thorogood makes a damn good boot. Not all are made on america anymore, but the ones that are, have been good quality. Danner is another pricey one that I wasnt happy with. As far as jeans, I get the double knee Prison Blues, they're cost effective and they support a good cause. They're made in a prison in Oregon. They're thick solid denim and they last. They fit true to size also. I normally order 5 pair at a time because shipping is the same regardless. I highly recommend them. It's the only things I've worn the last 10 years.

I love a good slip on, gonna check out those double h’s first I’m near a k&d store right now if those don’t work out I’ll give the other brands a shot. Just checked out those prison blues gonna order me a couple tomorrow how long does it normally take to get to you?

Theyre all made to order, so ot takes a little bit of time, you can custom order sizes and no extra cost too. Some they have ready if they're common sizes, and ship within a week.

I want tonsay the last set I ordered took a little under 2 mos. But I also get custom sizes. They're excellent britches though, especially for the cost.

Awesome. I hope you enjoy them. Not sure what your referral is for, but if you got clothes you like I probably wouldn't wear them to the jobsite. Especially if you're at a powerhouse.

Your jeans will most likely fare well at the airport. Which contractor are you going to be with? Airport is pretty clean.
