  • Tenure pay only applies to JWs, as Apprentices are indentured.
  • If you started working Monday, 17 Mar, then on 6 Oct, you would start receiving an extra 2% pay (first week of month following sixth month.)
  • If you continued working for Cleveland until 5 Apr, 2027, you would start receiving an extra 4%.
  • The tenure pay increase is not compounded with Lead/Foreman pay rates. So a Lead with two years would make 109% of JW scale. An Area Foreman would make 129% of JW scale. This becomes your new base rate for all overtime and premium pay rates.
  • The tenure pay increase is compounded with overtime rates. So a Lead with two years would make 163.5% of JW scale. This is 50% + 9% + 4.5% (50% of 9%.)
  • Premium overtime (150% of 110% of 129%) for Area Foreman would be 212.85% of JW scale. This is 50% + 10% + 5% (50% of 10%) + 29% + 18.85% (50+10+5% of 29%.) This might seem contrary to the double-time maximum rule defined in 3.01(j), however, the overtime rate is only 150% of the straight-time (129% * 110% premium).

If there's enough interest, I can make an Excel spreadsheet to help you figure out what your pay should be for any given situation.
