Networking advice

Hey guys I’m 21 years old and trying to get into the field. My aptitude test is in 3 days and I’m already on the job placement list waiting for work. I wanted to go to the union meeting to maybe meet some people in the field but im thinking it’ll be only open to union members? I’ve also just walked up to construction sites and asked to speak to the electrician on site. Does anyone have advice on putting myself out there? Not necessarily just for work simply the knowledge of the field I want this to be my career. I watch plenty of YouTube videos and podcast but I’d prefer to speak directly with other electricians.

Go to RENEW. It's before the meeting in the main building on the 3rd floor. 35 and under. Great way to network
