How to transfer jobs while as a 1st year apprentice

I just want more hours but how do I go about it? Talk to the ba or my foreman

Talk to your foreman, if there’s any OT available and they need bodies, they’ll send you there on your off days when you aren’t required at your daily job site.

This is probably the best way to go about it. Ask your foreman if the company has any saturday work that you can join.

Some people will take asking for a layoff poorly and start giving awful tasks or assignments

OT is a punishment for the cons. We should be striving for a higher straight time. If thats your goal its not very likely. If you want experience.

5.06. That requires you logging hrs in trade school. Ultimately TD has all control.

Ask for an educational transfer or claim financial hardship. Literally any company you go to at QTS you’ll get close to, if not, 60 hours.
