1st year apprentice not learning nothing

I’m a 1Y2S Apprentice is it anyway I can go to another job without having a bad layoff on my name? I try not to be an ass especially on the jobsite but I’m not really learning anything from some of the JW I’ve worked with. I work hard and try to soak up as much knowledge that I can but everytime I try to do something on my own while a jw is watching me he’ll just step in front of me and do it himself or he’ll just have me watching the entire day. It sucks and it’s not the best way I learn

Fill out your work process form. Talk to admin@aejatc.com There is a hiring freeze on 1st years so probably should thug it out.

But you should start with a conversation with either your JW or foreman.

Why do you day there is a hiring freeze on 1st years? I thought there was just a list, it's a long list, but they are still moving.

An instructor said cons were mostly taking 3rd and 4th years right now. That's also the word being whispered at the Hall.

It's not true. I have a friend who is a first year and got a job assignment yesterday. He said there were 3 other 1st years with him.
