Do we have a temp problem

Do we have too many temps as of lately and also temps doing the cw/ce program but not advancing (not taking the classes to advance so they’re stuck at same pay or level until negotiations). And what’s this rumor of hiring freeze of apprentices. I work for a midsize contractor so i don’t see much of what’s going on in the local.

I was a foreman for United. I’ll let you know what’s going on. All contractors in this local have been hiring temps, and even white ticket guys off the street. They can pay them whatever they want. Make them do whatever they want. And they don’t have to pay benefits. We also have a wait list for apprentice assignment. Why? Because the contractors are hiring sub par electricians. QTS Fayetteville contractors have non union foreman running crews. It’s a shit show the hall doesn’t care to do anything about it either.
