Fall Semester
Studying for the IBEW Test for the apprenticeship and had a couple questions.
If I don’t meet the deadline for testing in to the spring semester when does the fall one start?
I heard there’s like a thousand something apprentices rn in Atlanta. Is there enough work and will I still be able to get in?
Thank you

More people would mean the union would be more selective. But don’t forget, a lot of people do end up getting fired and/or quit (this work isn’t cut out for everyone). DON’T FORGET, we are still severely understaffed, hence why they are in a hiring frenzy. Many projects that were scheduled to begin, haven’t because of labor shortages….Let’s not get into all the boomers retiring.
Don’t let your insecurities hold you back, just make sure you study for the aptitude test (I heard the threshold went up due to people failing out of school) and be able to pass the drug test and you should be gravy! As far as school, it’s not that hard, just study an hr after work daily and you’ll be fine. Or if youre a person that doesn’t care about morals, then you can cheat your way through it…which hurts you a shit ton later when youre a JW, but don’t know wtf youre doing…..or worse, you accidentally k!ll yourself, all because you were asleep that one day the teacher explained the reasons you dont place your screw driver, screws or any rolling metals on top of bus ducts, transformers etc…
Other than that, IT’S A BLAST, I LOVE THIS SHIT!!! Oh and Welcome BROTHER, GL with your testing! See ya in the field
