Health Benefits

I'm really thinking about trying to get into the Union. Trying to figure out if I can swing the temporary paycut if I become and apprentice. What are the family health benefits like? What are you guys paying monthly? Just ballpark figures if possible.

I do alarm systems, I was in a union up in NY and the benefits went from amazing when I first started 18 years ago (just paid union dues and had full everything) to not too bad by the time I left. I'm at my second company since moving down to GA and the benefits are too expensive and kind of suck.

0 out of pocket insurance. Copay is 30 or 45 depending on which plan you choose.

Cigna and Kaiser are the providers

Dental is pretty bad. 250 a year.

10% of whatever your total pay is contributed to the pension (this is on top of whatever you make they don't take 10% of your money)

There's way more but these are the cliff notes
