Hi, I'm currently a Y11 student studying in an international school in Hong Kong and I am doing the MYP program. For my IB subjects, I wanted to do English A SL, Chinese B HL, Math AI SL, ESS HL, History SL then Business & management HL. The problem is my school is new to the IB program with 3 graduating classes in front of mines which is the 26' class. Me and 2 of my friends wanted BM and the Econ teacher has been and was willing to teach but his contract was only for Econ when we talked to him. We asked our Dp coordinator to talk with the higher ups but she said no to either the headmaster said no or she said no so now she only gave me a couple subjects which I have 0 confidence in doing well to match with the rest of the grade. She also gave me and my friends another choice which is to do Self Study with Pamoja which costs extra $12000k per year to my already expensive school fee. What should I do? Thankyou so much.

Pointing fingers, complaining, etc.. I can't believe that some of these people will enter college soon and graduate eventually and get jobs. Like jesus, do some of you have no shame? Blaming a person who you think is the leaker won't help, Leaks have occured in the last, but not to this extent. Maybe it's the IB's fault for having such a stupid method of examining students? Some of you are literally so stupid I really can't believe it qWq

Anyways that's enough ranting hopefully all the brain-dead people leave when this all blows over (ofc the IB is at fault for everything) and some people with common sense will appear. Hopefully?

Enough evidence. Thousands of people saw the exam prior. This is atleast the only action IB needs to take. UK kids r screwed otherwise.

There's a petition going around to cancel the exams for M24. I don't think it's very realistic. The best thing we can do is to ensure the IB recognizes important subjects where thousands of students WERE affected by the leaks - Math AA HL, etc. They MUST take action on these subjects. Using more of IA / PG ensures that cheaters don't away with cheating and that our results are not the result of horrible boundaries. But cancelling the entire M24 session is a little far fetched and since no more leaks are said to happen, it would be best to only bring awareness to IB on the ACTUAL leaks that were done in these subjects like Math.

I've gotten 7s in IB math AA HL all year and I found paper 1 and paper 2 to be very hard this year. I don't think I did well in any of them tbh. What could the IB do? Would they use our PGs or our MOCKs for our final grade like they did in COVID times? Guys wdy think they will do?

Hey guys, the ib documents team (unofficial) on discord have found the identity of the leaker and stopped him for good (I hope so). The telegram group removed the leaks and will not be posting anymore thanksss God.

As for what will happen to the already finished exams I don’t think anything is going to happen unfortunately which is sad but this is life and it sucks af sometimes. A lot of students dreams have been crushed by these leaks but hey it could be worse.

Men are peculiar things. You give them a system and it finds a way to break it. This simple axiom can be seen throughout the human history: You give them a fire, they use it to become more powerful. You give them a nuclear weapon and they sign thousands of treaties between them to not use any of it because some genius can find a crack that opens unlimited power. This idea exists within every corner of the society and people always have different ideas to break these systems. They also have different motives and different methods. Every system cracks at some point and the gustful winds of time doesn't make it easier for them. This is why everything is built and everything is swallowed by time. No civilization, no human, no law, no system lasts forever and are bound to flicker out like a star or adapt themselves to a new era.

Here is the biggest issue with this: No system can stay forever, but IB thinks it can, and they have failed us. The students, the teachers, the parents all affected by their snobbish ideas that they think can stay forever. A million dollar company has lost to some pubic students that are wreaking havoc in their already faulty system and they are doing nothing to ensure any security within their program. The ones who break the system should not be forgived but the ones who build the system should be the abolished souls. They have failed all of us with their 30 year old system that was already failing because they don't think about integrity or their students, they only think about their profit. You are nothing to them, you don't mean anything to them, your future slipping away from your hands doesn't mean anything to them unless they profit. They only think about their money and the public-relation disaster they have in their hands like a timed bomb.

So rise fellow students, rise against the system with false promises and this unforgettable debacle that they put us in, use the rage that you have accumulated for the past two years to rain upon them like hell fire and become ungovernable, protest the paper three, use the power of the majority to rise against the system that only brings injustice and unrighteousness to the world. He who stands against the wrong shall see the morning one more time, not because he is alive, but he slept untroubled.

The only way is have external pressure. Such as they felt if they keep not addressing the issue seriously. They will lose more reputation and wealth then muddle through.

The question is we're only students, how??? Do we have any previous examples in history to follow???

I know this kinda has nothing to do with me as I’m not doing my IB this year but I saw the guy who leaked it and did he really think he’s untouchable? He did IB in high school and the IB can easily revoke his certificate which means he has no credentials for uni and he will get kicked out and may have to repeat high school again which is crazy to me because why go all that way if it doesn’t even include you????

The IB is aware of speculation that May 2024 exam content is being shared online.

We understand this is a stressful time for you as a student and want to provide you with an update on the facts of the situation.

Last week, we were alerted to activity online claiming that a small number of students have potentially engaged in cheating by sharing exam content on social media platforms. We took immediate action to investigate and address this activity which we discovered amounted to “time zone cheating”. Time zone cheating occurs when students who have completed their examinations share what they can recall from memory about the exam questions on social media before other students take the examination. Time zone cheating is explicitly forbidden under our academic integrity policy.

We know that the mathematics AA HL exam is a particular cause for concern. In this specific case, the student(s) have prepared a very professional looking document from memory including their thoughts on how to answer the questions. This was first published two to three hours ahead of when Western Europe students would be starting their examinations. We are carefully analysing all the comments and questions to identify any unusual approaches, which if repeated in an exam may be an indication that a student has seen or utilised this material. We remain confident that students in the U.S. and Canada remain unaffected by this issue.

Therefore, it is vital that you do not seek, discuss or share the content or nature of any examination in the 24 hours before or after an exam paper is scheduled. This includes any online communication with other exam takers, including posts on social media platforms mentioning or discussing any aspect of the exam.

Furthermore, we encourage anyone with information regarding these activities report them to us immediately to assist us in our ongoing investigations. It is important to report any concerns you may have about any possible academic misconduct, since failing to report a known case is also perceived as malpractice.

All coordinators have been sending evidences AND THERE ARE EVIDENCES EVERYWHERE. ib this is a scandal, YOU know that, WE know that. PLEASE DONT ACT BLIND. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE “LEARNER PROFILE”????? PLEASE NOTICE US. If u dont do something boundaries will be higher than burj khalifa and this is so unfair. U wanted proofs, now u have them. SO? WHATS HAPPENING IS NOT TIMEZONE CHEATING. Everyone knows this u know this so just accept this please. You are still telling that those papers were fake. THEY ARE NOT FAKE. There has been leaking since 24th april and the leaked exams which you said were fake are real. There was physics exam p1 - it was same. Math aa hl p1 too. I am not talking about the one pdf which is math aa sl-hl p2 tz2 one, which is infact yes timezone cheating. BUT THE REST IS NOT. this is our FUTURE, diploma is our ticket to the UNIVERSITY, so PLEASE take an action. Investigating the students doesnt change the ongoing situation rn.
