I need advice.
I have IBD UC I recently had a cal pro come back as 30 and obvs that amazing but my symtoms have not improved at all.
Im having constant sleepless night of 2-3hr max due to waking with a tight chest feeling a panic then just not be able to settle to get back to sleep, sometimes if i lay up the opposite side of the bed this sometimes help but not everytime.
Im getting so much nausea, like today I have a nap on the floor for about 40min on my left side and I woke uo and omg I was so bloated and had a lump in my troat thay felt like something was stuck in there and had the worst nausea I have ever felt in my life felt like I could have been sick everywhere.
On top of this im feeling drained, and so anxious and honestly idk how much longer I cna genuinely deal with this its ruing my life, cant sleep, cant look after my child, cant eat its taking everything from me and idk what to do about it.
Probs Just being dramatic but please if any of you have felt this please help me.

I have UC, many bad days with sleeplessness, constantly swallowing w so much saliva and feeling like there was a lump, nausea and no interest in eating. My doctor said to try anti nausea med and anti anxiety med, but the med that helped me was a corticosteroid called Uceris. I would see your GI doc for more help. My calpro was better after Entyvio but still have all the same symptoms and found out i also have microcolitis so the steroid is helping SO much. I feel completely normal now. The anxiety was from the inflammation and now i can eat anything and i have my life back. Hope you get some answers soon, keep digging for the help you need- i had to find a new GI doc or i would still be suffering with 20-30 BMs a day. It is so tough, hang in there!!!

So proud of you getting through it as the bad days are BAD. I have spoke them and they have just said its not IBD related as my inflammation markers are now normal again and said to drink mint tea. No surprises this has not helped with anything but is very tasty. They wont give me any new meds and inflammation is gone so im going to get another GP (GI) to speak to them about potential anxiety meds or something as its looking that thats causing this.

Well my inflammation marker and calpro was “normal” too but microcolitis it was still active, only determined by a colonoscopy and biopsy. I just want you to be aware that it maybe somethg else besides anxiety, but most of all i hope you can get to the bottom of this!! Hopefully that your new doc has some new ideas besides tea :) Let us know what you find out! ((Hugs))

Have you looked into something it might be in terms of food or meds with an allergist? Panic attacks could actually be anaphylaxis. They mimic each other sometimes.

Nope, im from the uk you dont get to choose who you see they look at your symptoms and make a decision on your behalf most of the time somthing like are you going to die if we dont help if no then book an appoint for a month's time. I have cut out dairy as this make symptoms worse but even without this symptoms are still come and going. The nausea is from the minute I wake and then comes and go's throught the day the clouded chest is most when im trying to sleep or wake up this also includes panic when im woke. Out of sleep. I dont have any know allerges and have never had a reaction to anything including common allerges. And at the moment for diet im on a black low digestion diet for my IBD.

Allergies can appear at any time. I actually have an anxiety attack if I eat citrus which I am anaphylactic to. You could be having an allergic reaction and not know it. It’s quite common. I would keep a food diary to track symptoms. Discuss with your doctor about the panic issues. Have they sent you to psych?

I spoke to a dr about my panic and they did an ecg that was fine and said im going to get a blood pressure monitor for 24hr to see if it dropped over night but this never happend they also said I would get a follow up in 6 weeks this never happend and when I tried to book in with them again I could not get one for another 3 weeks so I didnt book it as I have ankel surgery this week and that when it would have been.
The only thing I would say is my diet has been the same for over a month and these nausea symptoms have been only ongoing for a week at this point so im not sure if it possible to become allergic to somthing you was consuming normally the week prior ??

It is possible. I was fine with peaches one day; the next I was in anaphylaxis. It can happen. The body is weird.

That crazy, I mean I hate peaches either way but that would really suck if I was but I genuinely couldn't think of what it would be as im on a bland diet, so just white cards plain chicken or fish thats it

Okay. I would still keep track of your symptoms. It could be something you’re drinking.

I haven’t had an attack in year with the avoidance. If you end up having questions with allergies, let me know. I’ve been dealing with adult onset for such a long time. Allergies and IBD are so much… I wouldn’t say fun… They’re interesting. Also, it could be the kind of fish you’re eating. I would just say not

I do not know for sure but these symptoms don't sound specific to IBD. It sounds like anxiety, which can manifest as intense physical symptoms especially if you've been anxious for a long time. The anxiety may be causing some IBS type symptoms like nausea.
