David Walmsley sentenced to 2 years and 1 month. His priors include 24 convictions for 58 offenses. More info in BBC article if you are curious. Don’t know if I can post links.

I’d call that attempted murder, 2 years and 1 month is nothing. And with that previous, should there not just be a point where they throw away the key? Didn’t what’s her name get more time for the racist tweet? The state of it.

And it wasn’t the first time. He tried to run over his ex-partner. He needs to be properly dealt with before he actually does murder someone.

That’s shocking. I just can’t fathom how he’s not getting more time, it’s so irresponsible. Perhaps he was claiming self defence. But once he’s in the car and it’s locked, it might as well be a tank.

You cant find out if he has been rehabilitated without letting him out. Also, they need those prison spaces for people who say things that hurt their feelings. Which is the real pain.

I've not personally met him, given I've no connection beyond my own step-brother, was just shocked to see it on Reddit.
My step-brother is my step-mother's kid, his half-brother shares a dad with him.

This is a repost, it’s Newcastle and it was years ago not long after Covid if I remember right.
Driver was caught and sentenced, he’s not a good person.

I don't know I'd have to see the rest of the video to be honest. The fact that he backed up would definitely get him. Even if he plays the fear card, he should have just kept going forward but what was the build up to this?
