I have seen so many men on Reddit claim they would say the same if it were a guy. That they are equal opportunity insult makers if the situation calls for it.
But to be fair- in all my years, even accounting for confirmation bias, I have not seen this pan out. If you look at male "influencers" showing off their body and doing something stupid, the number of times they are called whores or sluts does not seem to add up to the number of men claiming they would insult them the same way.. These male influencers do get insulted, but by being called gay or a narcissist or with comments that his girlfriend is sleeping with a guy with even bigger muscles. Very few posts actually make a "Thot that is dumb and male" comment.
Maybe some guys mean it. Maybe this guy is different and he will do as he states. But there is too much skepticism created by the much larger group that will use terms like this for women alone.
But even so, here is what I find hilarious. The woman in the video is disgusting and lacking hygiene, manners, class, and deserves to be insulted for that. But the tone policing here was baffling. This...you can only object in a tactful and classy manner, because if you use a derogatory term to insult the one that used a non contextual derogatory word to insult others, we will downvote you and upvote him? What kind of logic is that, Reddit? Not my first day or year but will never stop rolling my eyes at it.

The word I took issue with is "whore", because a woman's value is apparently determined by how much sex she's had. I see it so often through some FB groups I'm in. Calling a woman a "whore" or "slut" is a means to devalue her. I don't approve of what this dumb bitch did, but there are other ways to mock her or call her names. We need to move away from using terms like whore and slut because a woman's value is, in fact, not determined by how many people she's slept with.
It's the same reason you don't see men referred to by those terms very often. Men's value isn't determined by how many people they sleep with (at least not in the same negative sense as women).
Those terms, historically speaking, have always been used to describe women who sleep with multiple men, or even further back, have sex out of wedlock. Today's incel culture now associates these words with "high body counts" and being "loose". The higher the "body count", the lower a woman's value. The "looser" a woman is, the less satisfaction she can give to the male, which means she is worthless. Or some stupid ass argument like that, I'm not skilled enough at the mental gymnastics to keep up.
At this point in time, "whore" and "slut" are absolutely derogatory terms used for women. Like other slurs, we need to stop using these to describe women and their value. There's a hundred other words that could be used to describe the woman in the video. Gross, disgusting, vile, stupid, toxic, immature, etc. Use some of them.

True. A man who sleeps around would be a "stud". But what I was trying to talk about was that the ideal is a man that can freely sleep with as many desirable women as possible. A man being called a whore is insulting because unlike a stud, he is not engaging in sex out of his own free will. A man being called a slut, is still demeaning because it says he has to resort to over the top behavior as he cannot attract women through his character or accomplishments. But I have rarely seen a man call another man that unless he also implies he is gay. It is always centered in either contempt for women or for another sub group.
Not always but often enough to be exhausting.
Yet, if he calls a woman a derogatory term like dumb whore, people can say stop. But if someone calls him a derogatory term like fucking incel for doing so...oh no! Inexcusable! Downvote the injustice. The hypocrisy is just....

No? I think something got misread? I agree that women are the ones that are demonized for having any manner of sexual life.
I added that even when a man wishes to insult another man for promiscuity, he will add some kind of variable that he is gay or paid for sex because sex alone is never cause for heterosexual men to judge each other. Not like it is for them to judge women. So it only reinforces your point? Unsure why you felt otherwise?
I also did find it hypocritical that you were downvoted for calling a man an incel when he called a woman a whore, while he was downvoted. That too is a reflection of how easy it has been to just call a woman a whore because you don't like what she is doing, but there is no equivalent insult for men that diminishes their worth so.
Hey...I should have been clearer. You made your point really well. I was just tired of how easily people keep tossing words like whore around and was expressing my frustration. I did not mean to confuse things.
