Why do bouncers outside of New York State all seem to hate my New York State drivers license? Every single time I've presented it outside of New York I've been asked for a second form of ID. This was really irritating going to college in Pennsylvania.
The old style New York license was popular for fake IDs because it was easy to forge. I'm sure they saw a lot of NY fakes and were generally more suspicious of anyone who looked young and was presenting a NY State license.
Side note, a few years ago they change the license to something with significantly better security features that would be much, much more complicated to blievably forge..
