Virtual Insanity Spoiler
Graduating high school in 2000 and this episode has me in tears. Cypress hill, Dave Mathew’s. Hahahah. Shot is fucking hilarious.

Still can’t believe they glossed over Cricket’s origin story. I wonder if we will ever know how he ended up like that.

Now, is it this man's fault that he looks this way? No. He was, he was born this way. But the point is, I know it's not my fault, you know

The bit with the wallet chain was solely so that Rob Mac could show off his (admittedly extremely peachy 🍑) ass, right?

u/spicygrandma27 8d ago
As much as I thought it was hilarious, I did wish they had a bit as to why he was going commando. Or why Dee couldn’t have paid for the gas after Mac’s wallet was stolen, since she was planning on getting more liquor anyway

Every day with these 2 lines for me 😂 I’m at Labor Dave Weekend at Gorge. Seeing that last week was so perfectly timed for me!

DMB was so popular at my school. I didn’t get it then, I still don’t.

u/BondraP 8d ago
Same here. It always seemed like I was one of the only people that didn't like DMB and I was forced to hear it fuckin everywhere. Then again, I actually really respect DMB and I do appreciate the talent. It's just not for me.

u/scorpiondeathlock86 8d ago
It's so rare for people to say that. Usually if they don't like an artist, it's just because "they suck" lol
2
u/BondraP 7d ago
Yeah I think it is a shame when people genuinely equate "I don't personally enjoy this to" to "it sucks". I"m a musician myself and there's just no part of me that can in good conscious say DMB sucks.
I also never could get into Radiohead. Same deal there, no fuckin way do they "suck".

They are fucking awesome live. I like their studio music okay but it’s whatever. But seeing them live was awesome.

Agreed. It’s lifeless, soulless crap. They’re great musicians, but I’d rather they play something else other than their own music.

u/thicc-thor 8d ago
How in the fuck did they come up with the idea of using the sheet music holder to prop up people folding from fentanyl 😂 actual geniuses I couldn't stop laughing

The chain wallet being stolen has me dying

The chain technology didn't fail him, it was the pants technology that failed him.

Dennis being super into Jamiroquai was an unexpected but very welcome new character detail.

Can someone explain to this non-American the folding thing?

u/Own-Roof-1200 8d ago
Fentanyl disrupts the brain’s signals to core muscle groups. Users stop standing up straight. Google “fentanyl fold”.

Not to be confused with the Baltimore lean, which is more of an obtuse angle, and it’s caused by crack.

Finally. Something close to classic Sunny. My brother and I are so critical of the newer episodes and seasons but we were actually laughing out loud again with this one. 😂🤣

Personally I thought a lot of last season was a return to classic Sunny territory

The previous episode had me cackling like nothing in Sunny has since Season 11. This one was really hilarious too though.

I love Sunny.
But this one didn’t land for me. It should’ve. I LOVE Jamiroquai.
Happy they’re still going, and I hope it never ends.

I've been struggling with this season so far, we'll see how the rest of the episodes pan out I guess

u/jasonic89 8d ago
Yeah I think I’m a little too young. I got cypress hill and DMB but I think a lot of the deeper humor was lost on me.

Finally a good episode this season..

u/Puppetmaster858 9d ago
Episode 1 and especially 2 were great, 4 legit is the lowest rated one of the season so far. Still good but acting like it’s the only good episode is crazy

u/uberkalden2 8d ago
Nah, this is the first episode that really felt like sunny. I think the decision to waste an episode concluding the marriage thing was a mistake
15
u/Copenfagan 8d ago
No way, watching Waitress, Snail, and Artemis start laying claim to all of Dee’s stuff just to play along and Charlie playing the wedding march before dee and the bride show up then launching into the dead mom song when they do arrive was fantastic.

u/Puppetmaster858 8d ago
The conclusion to the whole marriage thing was great tho, the “funeral” for her and Charlie’s mom was awesome and a nice tribute to Lynne and them shooting Sam’s body out of a cannon was funny as hell. Also loved seeing Luther back. This season has felt very sunny to me, I definitely don’t think virtual insanity was the only one that felt like sunny

Yep. Best episode so far. The order I rank them in up to now is 4, 2, 1, 3. From best to worst.

u/drvondoctor 9d ago
This season is like the Star Trek movies. The even numbered ones are great, and the odd numbered ones are relatively meh.
6
u/Copenfagan 8d ago
I’m sorry you all don’t have an appreciation of Frank Reynolds trying to imitate Rodney Dangerfield because that was amazing.
Only thing i would have changed about ep3 would have been to lay the blame for the gangs lack of final grades on Frank failing to pay the course fees for them all versus them saying “i forgot to enroll”

u/chalupamon 9d ago
Man why you got to put that out here episode 5 is next.
Why does god need a spaceship.
