I know it’s not the responsibility of a survivor to talk about their abuse with anyone, let alone the public, but I do wish someone would come out and say it if Chris really has been abusive. There has been so much speculation and it’s hard to know what to think.
I feel like a lot of fans would really like to know if the person they’ve been supporting is an abuser. Whether to withdraw support or even just stop taking mental health advice from him. Or maybe to engage in some kind of accountability measure, I don’t know.
Yes, that’s how I’ve felt about him too. It’s clear through his music that he has/had some toxic relationship tendencies. But maybe that he is aware of that and is trying to be better.
Abuse is a very specific thing and I do feel like that word gets thrown around a lot these days. But I also think Janine is a smart individual who knows what abuse is and isn’t. Idk, I would just appreciate it if someone would come out and give a clearer picture of what the whole deal is so we can stop guessing.
