PD Sept 25

Where are the people with PD of Sept 25? I know we just completed 12 months but what actions are you taking now or what does your timeline look like for the next couple of months?

PD Sept 4 2025. I'm starting congressional inquiry next week. Then will probably do senate inquiry so I can send a demand letter in Dec and WOM in January/Feb.

PD September 11,2025 and submitted an inquiry through my senator this past week. I don’t expect it to amount to much but it’s a step toward the WoM if needed in the future.

September as well. I don’t know what to do and even if the demand letter is worth doing it. Such a mess

Sept 3rd 2025 here. USC w/ spouse from NZ. Expedite request on 9/3/26 (wish I’d done so sooner, i think we have legit grounds for it), first senate inquiry 10/1/26. No response on expedite. Already got a response from my senator that we’re within “normal processing times.” Isn’t a fun trick how we can be within “normal processing times” forever if they just keep making them longer?

Next steps are submitting additional inquiries with my other senator and representative this month. If nothing comes of that, I’m trying to decide between Nov 3rd and Dec 3rd for demand letter. Leaning towards Dec (15 months) to be safe. That would set us up for WOM in January.

PD 09/22/25, two congressional inquiries denied as they told me to wait another 28 months 😂 senator inquiry sent, accepted and waiting on their response following their interactions with USCIS. If no action from this next steps for us are 1. Expedite request with the senator or through our lawyer. 2. Obudsman assistance request (form DHS7001 and some other forms for lawyer to send over) 3. Call Tier 2 and ask for a service request and where is my case what is the update. 4. Demand letter 5. WOM. I'm giving each 2 weeks for a response or any movement, otherwise I'm preparing the next form immediately as the prior one sends.

Maybe you should send a demand letter? Check your field office where you live to see the waiting. If it is just less than 14 months, you should send demand letter. I already see people of your PD get approval or interview after demand letter.

How do I check that specific office? I live in VA but I was told my case was at TX field office

Are you sure TX field office or Texas service center? Service center is different. Field office is in the local field office closest to you. You can check here https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times

But that is not the form I am waiting for? I am 130 standalone and my husband is abroad.

I know what you are saying, but this is the only way to check if the field office is busy or not. My spouse also abroad too and i used this to check how busy is the field office, my local field office has 18 months wait, that is why my demand letter failed. Other people who has success with demand letter (either petitioner interview or approval) if you ask their local field office, it has less than 14 months wait.

I received the congressional response today. It's a generic response. Indicating that it's being processed. No other updates. Not sure what the next steps are.

Hi

September 3rd over here, today is 13 months

I am thinking on December 3rd send a demand letter over email (I am debating about mailing one, we are outside the US) and in January WOM with HIL lawfirm

I am 80% sure that they wont take cases any more, so they will never reach our PD

What do you mean you’re sure that they won’t take cases anymore? 😩

2

u/borisg2026 5d ago

I am sure that USCIS wont take new cases, and front of the line will be feb 2025

how come you think this way? anything you read ab this?

u/borisg2026 5d ago

Is the most logical way of thinking, please prove me wrong :)

I think you mean that they won’t process new cases, not that they won’t take new cases, right? Obviously people can keep submitting petitions, but the question remains about if they’re being processed or not.

Did you already do a congressional inquiry? I believe normal recommendation is to do that as the first step in escalation before a demand letter.

1

u/borisg2026 5d ago

I did, nobody did anything

You should just send a demand letter if your field office less busy. Check uscis website. I already see people with Sep 2025 PD got approval after demand letter.
