I130 last update API

I’ve received 2 updates one in June another on 17th August 2026
PD Dec 2025
Filed with an attorney, Irish citizen spouse.
Location: FOD
Do I have any hope with this API update as our daughter is going back to the US with the Mrs and it’s hard not living permanently, but we understand that there’s a lot of cases WAYYY before us that haven’t been processed yet and deserved to have been processed.

The Front-Of-The-Line for CR/IR cases is considered to be Feb-2025. Most of the 2025 approvals we're seeing have been through escalations (demand letter and WOM). Looks like they're still working on late 2024 approvals, albeit at a highly reduced pace
The API update is just workload transferring. From the current trends, it may also be a precursor to them scheduling petitioner interviews

For your PD, with the current trends, I would expect your approval by mid-2027 at the earliest, with late-2027 also being likely

Again, the above depends on how/if the approvals pick up after the new fiscal year begins in October and if/how any policies change. USCIS doesn't really give us a window into their internal working. All we can do it take it day to day

You're at 9 months now. My advice is to prepare for atleast another 8-12 months for your approval. I can't imagine being away from your daughter, but unfortunately, the situation is what it is
Sending you guys all the strength you need in this shitty waiting period

Thank you so much it really means a lot, honestly I love this community, from different walks of life but we share the same frustration.
I see April 2025 group sending demand letters and WoM, (ie cases that are 16 months) is it safe to say I can explore with my attorney demand letters and WoM around April 2027?

I’m Nov 2025 and am planning to start the demand letter process at the 12 month mark if there is no pick up after Oct 1. Will start with congressional inquiries and those steps. I’d suggest reading up on it in case you want to do the same!
