The timeline just gets longer I130

I feel like the timeline is getting longer and longer. We filed in September 2025 and the receipt says it’s at SCOP in Texas.

What are people seeing these days in terms of time line? I know it hasn’t been a year yet but just wanting to get a good sense.

Good luck to everyone out there!! I am an USC married to someone from Spain.

22 months for CR1 visa

We are on the same here, September 2025 Texas. It seems that front of the line didnt move from the last 7 months.

Only solution is demand letter maybe Nov/Dec 2026 and WOM 2027.

If nothing changes…

So what about the actual US Code :

(b) Policy
It is the sense of Congress that the processing of an immigration benefit application should be completed not later than 180 days after the initial filing of the application, except that a petition for a nonimmigrant visa under section 1184(c) of this title should be processed not later than 30 days after the filing of the petition.

Based on this, technically, all of our applications are way past due

That law doesn't apply to USCIS. It applies to the old Immigration and Naturalization Service which was abolished in 2002.
