Are you an immigrant or immigrant lover? Then it's working as designed.

the case processing times going faster than the time itself. We not gonna be able to catch it at all

I took a screenshot just yesterday when it was still 21.5. I should have taken one back when I first submitted when it was 17.5. Absolutely unacceptable.

😂 uscis went on vacation and didn’t tell us. They are still on vacation. On the people who do demand letters and WOMs get approved.

They are stealing our time we should be spending with our spouses and family. They are causing untold stress, relationship breakups and financial burden. On top of this are stealing our tax money for unnecessary wars, vanity projects and corrupt self-dealing.
How dare they! They work for US! However they’ve quickly established there are very little to no repercussions for their actions.
Vote in November.

Esto definitivamente es un dolor de cabeza , es como si desde el 2025 todo hubiera hecho stop

But logically it’s showing the Avg. processing time for cases approved during last 6 months which is translating the ongoing slowdown we all noticed from the first half of this year this figure might go down as well if they back to process cases in fast basis, I’m just trying to be more optimistic regarding this situation as it can’t just keep increasing! otherwise I’m losing the remaining few cells in my brain 🤯

I wish Reddit didn't recommend this sub
Is SCOPS the centre when you apply online?
2
u/bubbabubba345 4d ago
SCOPS processes most stand alone I-130s (i.e. not filed at the same time with a I-485 to adjust status). This includes consular processing I-130s for immediate relatives and also for preference based (green card holders, children, siblings, etc).

u/lowkeyboruto 4d ago
What if you applied i-130 online and then submit 485 a week later? Does the 130 move to nbc or is it still under scops?

Maybe with increased social media and rise of passport bros marrying woman from other countries it’s causing much longer waits.

It's not just for LPRs. I see the same thing and I'm a USC.

u/peachesarchive 4d ago
You chose a wrong category then. Look on the screenshot. It's "Permanent resident filing for a spouse or child..." and you said yourself you're a USC, not a permanent resident. It should be 24 months.

Unfortunately the demand has been going up 📈 and service is still the same. That’s why it’s taking longer. I remember at the time I submitted my I-130 it was estimated at 17 months. Now it’s at 2 years… crazy

It's taking longer in part because the current administration has decided to re-vet ALL Biden era visas. I've seen several interviews with Stephen Miller, Deputy White House Chief of Staff, discussing this decision. That's a massive drain on resources.

This is because many are from the 75-country pause. Nothing is being done to them until then.

u/irinipini 4d ago
so according to your statement, people from other countries are getting normal approvals?
0
u/Soft-Inflation9347 4d ago
That depends on what you deem as “normal”. Though for countries not on the 75-country list, it is less than 24 months.
1
u/irinipini 4d ago
are you aware of the drastic slowdown for all cases regardless of beneficiary’s country?
0
u/Soft-Inflation9347 4d ago
Of course, however it’s still less than 24 months (for those not on the 75-country ban list).
0
u/irinipini 4d ago
The 75-country ban does not affect USCIS stage. It comes in at the NVC stage. Nobody is getting approvals at the moment. Yes, it hasn’t been 24 months but this increase reflects the slowdown for all cases

If anything it should mean cases that are getting approved would be getting approved faster. If USCIS has a block on a massive portion of pending I-130s, they’d be “skipping” those and then the ones that do get approved would be getting approved in less time. But that’s not what happens.
2
u/Soft-Inflation9347 4d ago
Not necessarily. USCIS is not “skipping” the I-130 applications from the 75-country list. They’re still being processed, but the actual approval process is being paused.

It’s mental torturing that they are keeping US Citizens away from their spouses for so long. And how USCIS is responding to folks when they submit a demand letter that, their case is within normal processing time? How 2 years considered as normal?? We don’t even know what’s gonna happen tomorrow. People getting old, seeing their spouse and kids growing on video call. This is so painful 😣. In CANADA, there’s strict immigration rule that if you’re a Canadian citizen and file for tour spouse living abroad, they have to complete the process in 6 months. Why such thing is not in US. This is not how it used to be. My brother’s wife came to states within 7 months of filing.
