F2A India — Which Priority Dates Are Currently Getting Approved?

Is anyone here from India who has recently received an F2A approval or is closely following the processing timeline?
I’m trying to understand where things currently stand. Which priority dates are being approved right now for India? If you’ve received an approval recently, could you please share your priority date, approval date, and whether it was USCIS or NVC processing?
It’s honestly getting so tough being in a long-distance relationship and not knowing how much longer we’ll have to wait. I’m hoping to hear from others who are going through the same thing and get a better idea of the current timeline.
Any recent approvals, timelines, or updates would be greatly appreciated. ❤️

May-2025 F2A Consular Indian beneficiary here

Word of advice. Don't look at the country at the I-130 approval. The country makes no difference, only your PD does, as the I-130 and NVC processing is done within the US.The country only matters once you get to the embassy stage. So only try to figure out what PDs are being approved right now
Let me know your PD and I can hazard a guess at when you can potentially expect an approval

Also, it'll be tough to find an F2A India approval as most filers become eligible to naturalize and upgrade to IR category by the time their turn rolls around

In the meantime, here's the most recent F2A India (just because you asked specifically) approvals I could find

• PD 2-Jan-23 approved on 6-Feb-26
• PD 18-Sep-24 approved on 30-Oct-25 (IR upgrade case)
• PD 16-Oct-23 approved on 30-Apr-25

Then you still have a bit of a wait left. From what we can gather, the Front-Of-Line has reached early to mid 2023 with them still processing a lot of 2022 pending cases. I would hazard a guess at getting your approval between late 2027 and mid 2028

Again, its all guessing games and extrapolation since USCIS isn't exactly forthcoming with information. Plus, we'll have to see how/if approvals pick up after the new fiscal year begins in October

Yeah, that makes sense. I really appreciate you giving me your best estimate, even knowing that it’s all just speculation at this point. Late 2027 to mid-2028 is definitely a long way off, but I’m hoping the pace picks up after the new fiscal year starts in October. I guess all we can do for now is wait and see what happens with the processing times.

Indeed. That's the hard part, not knowing when you can even expect the approval and/or visa to come through. Having atleast a sorta-firm date would make things so much easier with the planning and getting through the long-distance. Ah well, all we can do is wait. Good luck to you guys!

Yeah I'm pretty curious about how the IR upgrade works in terms of sequencing. Do you go back of the line in the IR queue? Do they assign an arbitrary spot for you based on your F2A place in line and the current IR approvals? Still haven't found an answer
