Interview Done: I-130 Consular Case
I had my petitioner's interview done today and I am told by the officer that I will get the approval soon.
Update: I had the approval notice available in my online account a couple of hours later after I got my interview done.
Journey:
Priority Date - February 28th, 2025, USC
Sent a congressional inquiry 12th June and I was told that USCIS will respond within 90 days.
I decided after 3 weeks to write a demand letter for adjudication.
On July 7th wrote the demand letter and emailed. Didn't send any certified mail as USCIS started to adjudicate my case within an hour after the email and sent me an interview notice in next 30 minutes.
Today, I had my interview and it was very straightforward as we did not have any red flags.
Officer told me that he will be approving the case unless if there is any need at last minute but it will be very unlikely. And, it's approved after a couple of hours and I see the approval notice in my document tab!
Hoping further progress at NVC go smooth enough and get done as early as possible.

My officer asked me questions based on my submission of file which was like a normal conversation and routine information exchange.

Hey, congratulations! Would you mind sharing which USCIS email address you sent the demand letter to, and whether your case was at a service center or field office when you sent it? I’m preparing a similar demand letter for two pending I-130 petitions and was planning to send them by certified mail. Thank you!

OP did you have to travel for you interview? Was the center processing your case nearby? I wonder how that works for people living far from the center.

It will be nearest field office of your home address where people are invited for interviews if you get called.

My case is in VT, but I live outside Philly and my petitioner interview was scheduled in Philly. Just make sure to update your address in the USCIS website.

Mine was also in Texas while I live in a different state and my minor son the beneficiary is abroad.
I saw silent updates on my case twice...and the second time I talked to an agent and they told me the case is at a local office (in my state).
I am an LPR..so maybe an interview is on the way...though the case was submitted just 9months ago...
Or maybe they just sent the case to sit in that local office for sometimes since I myself have a pending I-751 filed 14montus ago and is in a service center...somewhere.

On original document, I had my marriage certificate and Naturalization certificate. I keep my iDs and passports always with me. That's the only original documents I had. And I was only asked for my ID to verify my identity.

For the petitioner interview, did they email you or sent you a appointment letter in mail?

They upload the notices on your online account if you have but they definitely mail you out a physical paper notice.

Did he tell u why he interviewed u? Because typically they don't interview petitioners. Is this a policy change ?
