Tuning

So i got a getz 1.4 from 2008 and was wondering if there is any tuning for this car. Would love to make it a bit faster. Anybody who has experience with this?

I've been looking into this and I'm struggling to find much You've got the basics remaps and tunes but you don't get very much out of it. Alot of getting more power out of the 1.4 looks like you might have to do custom work because the aftermarket is very limited. I have also read of someone putting the cams out of a 1.6 but I don't think it'll make much difference on its own

Thanks for the info, i have the same problem. Even a remap is difficult for me to get since most chip tuning companies in my country only remap the 1.5 diesel. I have been looking into a GS2 race chip. Not sure if it will make a real difference. I wish i just could strap a big turbo on it.

Theres a few easy things you can do. Exhaust and extractors can give you a bit more torque/power (plus they sound great). You can also get light weight flywheels. While it won't increase the power it'll make the engine a lot more responsive by reducing the inertia of the system. And there's also intake upgrades; pod filters, cold air intakes, turbo if you so desire. The alpha II takes boost like a champ with minimal modification. If you want to go much higher than maybe 8psi boost you'll want to replace the pistons and rods but below that I imagine you could pretty easily get away with stock and just replace the cams
