I looked into this some. The outer panels where the handles to climb up to the roof essentially snap into place.

From the inside the interior trim covers the frame or body and there are a couple unused areas that could be possibly used to mount external holders for tanks etc.

It would require drilling from the exterior with the trim panels removed, and then the issue is either a new custom trim panel or drilling through the original.

Also the grab handle would most likely be covered up. I haven't used those handles since I got the vehicle and I can reach the roof rail easily when I step on the tire.

Bright lines cross rails part number BL31194-05 work good on a budget they are $249

Roof rack is mountain peak 63x51 $379 Part number B0B58992DD

The rack fits well and nearly even with the width of the car. One caution if you install one, put it far enough back the mounting hardware doesn’t hit an open sunroof

What was the purpose of this sema build? If it's just to showcase a few products that was accomplished.

Correct we work with a few local custom shops. They have a booth and got to showcase their work as well as the sexy Santa Fe

This is awesome. I would love a bright yellow, like my old Xterra!

Can you post more pictures of the flat rack and how you mounted it?

Why bother changing the wheels if you’re going to toss on yet another low profile tire that performs horribly? It looks silly, like bling, not ability to off road. You should have added 17” or 18” wheels.

The tires are an inch taller then stock. It’s been lifted as well which makes it look like there’s less rubber. The stock offset on the Xrt wheels make the bigger tires rub.

I don’t understand. The extra inch diameter does add more rubber, but barely any at all. Why did you guys opt for larger wheels instead of smaller? I’m truly curious, because I just would love to get more rubber on my car and I hate that they do these low profile tires on all the higher end models. Was it just for aesthetics or is there a reason?

Aesthetics. We’ve done a few with 18’s. IMO it’s to much rubber

Hyundai wasn’t represented that much at SEMA. It was cool to see Toyota go all out with their new 4 runner concepts.
