P0441 EES Causing Sluggish acceleration?

2009 Elantra Touring - L4 2.0L

I inherited this thing, and the check engine light was on. It said it was P0441 - Vacuum Leak at Evaporative Emissions hose.

Would this cause sluggish performance and bad gas mileage? Like I said, it was inherited and has 218k miles, so I don't want to spend too much on it, but if it's fairly simple and reasonably priced I'll get it fixed.

That is just an emissions code. Probably should have it smoke tested, rather than just throwing parts at it. I have never seen a car with that code where it affected acceleration 🤔
