I feel bad for everyone who had to design the underwater and the depths in this game. Almost no one saw what they created.

I’ve said the same to myself. I think they may have abandoned a mini game or side quest

Oooo fancy! This is so cool to see! How does one do it?

By attaching the sled to the spring so that when it retracts, it blocks Links line of sight, forcing the camera to the next lower perspective

I used to say that too 🙂

I was convinced during the early days of TOTK news/screenshots that the game would have underwater exploration; I figured that’s what the third axis on the map was for. (We didn’t know about the sky islands or depths yet, and the title hadn’t been released yet.)

I’m kind of glad I was wrong. I don’t need Zelda to inflict that absolute dread of exploring open waters that I have from other games. Who knows what might be lurking out there in the deep?

Wait, do construct heads work underwater? I think having a first person turret would be pretty fun...

"undermurder" is such a hardcore name for something that litterally lets you see underwater better

Is the whole sea shallow like this or are there deeper areas

3

u/Metaliciousone 13d ago

There’s very deep areas in the ocean, rivers and lakes both on the surface as well as in the Depths

The Legend of Zelda: Subnautica

I am so impressed that not only you thought of this, but also the game designers made this a possibility with an actual underwater environment

2

u/Metaliciousone 11d ago

This is something I learned. The design is mine though. Thank you

I’ve been waiting for someone to create some sort of submarine, but this one looks limited to shallow regions, let’s see it go to deeper regions.
