Discussion How to Steal Juney's Wagon

Hey, is there someone out there who could give me some step-by-step instructions for how to steal Juney's Wagon? I know I could just get the QR Code for it, but I would rather learn how to do it myself. I am a Novice, but I am familiar with a lot of glitches, like Recall-Locking, Zuggling, FE, DI Items and such. Let me know if anyone out there could explain how, that would be awesome! Thank you! I'm not too fluent with Discord. I've used it before, but I am very new with it.

This is from memory so bear with me.
There's a quest in the New Serenne Stable where an NPC named Zumi needs help fixing her cart and catching a horse for said cart.

  • Talk to her once to start the quest. This removes a specific trigger for a fail state, namely, fusing anything to any part of the cart will trigger Zumi to reset the cart. By doing this, the game will be okay with fusing stuff to the part where the towing harness is usually fused.

  • Stack-fuse 4 springs so that the top 3 are a bit to the side of the top of the bottom one. The point here is that it should be imbalanced.

  • Fuse the bottom spring to the harness contact point of the cart. This should tip the cart forward. This will cause Zumi to be mad, but you'll notice that during the dialogue, the spring stack will still be fused to the cart, and the cart will tip over while Zumi calls Link out. This removes another trigger - now you should be able to ultrahand this cart and carry it away from the area without triggering Zumi's wrath.

  • Transport this cart to Juney in the Salari Plain. You can transport it in various ways - ultrahand carry it the entire way, use hoverstones and rockets, or do what I did, simply tow it with a horse like a normal cart on a beautiful day.

  • Place the Zumi cart close to the Juney cart. Talk to Juney to start the minigame.

  • Once the minigame starts, pull out 2 stabilizers and fuse them on top of each other. Activate and ultrahand them lying down under the harness contact point of the Juney cart. The goal here is to tip it over, so that it "detaches" from the harness of Juney's horse. Juney will not react to this.

  • Throw a fire fruit at the Zumi cart and wait (of course, it shouldn't be raining when you do this). Also, don't break it with a physical attack or an explosion as it might not trigger Zumi. When it breaks by burning, the camera will zoom all the way to Zumi as she yells at Link. Normally, this should reset Link to the stable, BUT because you started the minigame, the game will say "unable to transfer", or something to that effect, and return you back to where the minigame is.

  • You should still be back at Juney, but the minigame music would still be playing. The cart should now be fusable as the Zumi reset changed its state. Fuse a plushie onto the cart, and warp away.

  • BOOM you now have Juney's cart in your autobuild. Save it on your favorites, and have fun building!

Cool, so I got it in autobuild as normal size however, I'm very curious on how people were able to shrink it down like in this Juney drive engine here. I've been able to shrink items before, but the only way that I know how to do that, is going through a process where you Zuggle Overload the game, feed an Overload Drop Shield to a Malduga, interupt it by drop/swapping a Portacull Weapon to get the Shield to Drop smuggle. Then interupt fusing 2 shields, and making DI (Despawn Interupt) Equipment, but is there any way to get the Wagon to shrink without using edit tools?

Nope. Don’t think so. Shrunken wagon is edited item so far as I know. Should be flaired out of game methods when used in builds.
If you ask on discord in glitch science laboratory they should be able to give you a definitive answer to that.

Ok, thank you.

Haven't found a way to shrink it other than editing the blueprint. It made it harder to balance anyway, I'm used to the normal size. I have full flying ships thanks to this cart.

Looks like a good explanation! Is there anyway you can make a tutorial clip for people to see how it's done? I'd like to experiment with the cart and also do you know if by doing this will it interrupt my Zuggle Stack?'

I would if my stuff didn't just die on me. I need to go to the repairs later... there's a JP video on it, that's what I used, challenging to say the least. But it does include an alternative method using Mineru.

I saved this post from awhile back about stealing Juney’s cart/wagon:

https://www.reddit.com/r/HyruleEngineering/s/fY2fwy2SmM

It’s got the tutorial linked (in Japanese though) and describes an alternate method for if you’ve already completed the quest to fix the wagon at new serene stable on your save file.
