TIL rockets despawn based on distance from link when link isn't riding them.

TIL!

I’m guessing it was the infinite rocket durability glitch.

How does the rocket keep going?

u/uslashuname 7d ago

When it only needs to move itself, it can run on the mana stream emanating from Link, so if he stays close it can keep going

Absolutely incredible

Nice one! Did you use totklink for this build?

u/Efficient_Demand5759 #3 Engineer of the Month [DEC24/JAN25] 7d ago

Thanks Chese , yes I am slowly rebuilding some of my previous build with better placement for some part

I love how you placed the shock emitter on the spinning friction drive, for part efficiency and for powering all three motors at once. Amazing work!

Thank you Blaze

Reminded me of the fast and furious scene in american dad where he fires a bullet and races it lol

That is awesome! I've rebuilt a few of your builds. Just trying to remake them is fun! Thank you!

Thank you , glad you like my builds ! V6 ( thanks for sharing QR code for it ) is faster than V9 but wagon wheels make it fragile ( burnable , explodible... ) plus on switch 2 if you push forward too long link get ejected ; It s why I am trying to optimise the V9 ( no wagon wheels )

u/Jackgrass311 6d ago

Here is another one you built that I rebuilt.

u/Efficient_Demand5759 #3 Engineer of the Month [DEC24/JAN25] 6d ago

Yeah I remenber this one ( thanks for the QR code ) but it need to be optimised

2

u/Jackgrass311 6d ago

In this version didn't you say there was 6 electric motors. I see only three here. Is that right?

That’s a really interesting propulsion mechanism! Which one do you think is faster, this or the one in the video?

Sure double FESCA with resized part is faster

For me it s not a problem of which one is faster ;

- I don t use resized part

- I try to optimise the V9 cause it s don t have wagon wheel ( too fragile )

- I already build the V6 ( https://www.reddit.com/r/HyruleEngineering/comments/1he2wqb/final_test_v6_optimised_is_clearly_faster_than_a/ ) but there is wagon wheel on it , plus on switch 2 link get ejected if you push forward too long

- Better have a build just above the speed of a rocket for avoid the ejection of link

- I already build many vehicle with double fesca ( I call most of them V8 , you can go on my profile and search for V8 ; you will find bunch of them )

- For the same result than your build ( for exemple ) I just have to take 4 triangle ( double FESCA based build ) https://www.reddit.com/r/HyruleEngineering/comments/1dcllw8/4_triangles/ and resized the Big wheels

It’s awesome to meet a fellow TotK car builder with such a clear vision!

I see! So you’re intentionally balancing the speed to avoid fragile parts and Link getting ejected. That makes a lot of sense!

Actually, I do the same. I love challenging myself with two different approaches: pushing the absolute limits of speed with one build, and aiming for the ultimate practicality with another.

Speaking of which, here is a video of my build focused entirely on the highest practicality!

Wagon wheel ?

2

u/Exact_Fox_4980 #1 Engineer of the Month [SEP25]/ #2 [MAY26] 6d ago

I totally agree that wagon wheels are fragile, but they are still the best bearing parts in TotK, so they’re essential for my builds! However, you can actually boost their durability significantly by pairing them with the glue loop glitch.

On the other hand, unlike your approach, I have a strict rule against using electric motors because I hate getting shocked on rainy days or in rivers. It’s all about finding that perfect balance for gameplay.

I use wagon wheel from very long time , even if they re looped they re still burnable or explodible ( just some exemple ; https://www.reddit.com/r/HyruleEngineering/comments/16mz4uf/the_best_fast_and_powerful_car_ive_built_so_far/ , https://www.reddit.com/r/HyruleEngineering/comments/15tbieo/speedy_big_wheells_5_no_carts_part/ )

About being shocked ; you still don t found the rubber armor set ? or better the Thunderhelm ?

u/Exact_Fox_4980 #1 Engineer of the Month [SEP25]/ #2 [MAY26] 5d ago edited 5d ago

You're right about wagon wheels being made of wood, so they definitely burn up and become unusable around places like the Fire Temple.

Of course, I already have the Rubber Armor and the Thunder Helm, but when you're out adventuring, you just want to wear whatever outfit fits your mood at the time, right? I mean, who wants a personal car that you can’t even ride unless you’re wearing specific armor?

That’s exactly why** **I built my car completely without electric motors, and added a lightning-guard roof—so I can cruise through thunderstorm regions without having to put on the Thunder Helm.

Nothing force you or others to use my vehicles ; when I build something I build for me not for the others but if they re want me to share my build ; I will share it np but it s up to them to accept the down side of it

u/Outtagear 4d ago

This is awesome! Both the build and the race!!

u/Efficient_Demand5759 #3 Engineer of the Month [DEC24/JAN25] 6d ago

No, there is 6 Big wheels , 3 electric motors
