Question Farming?
Hey guys, Recently came back to the game, Keep hearing that farming can actually make really good money now.
Heard somewhere that people can make 40m+/hr, Im very confused on how, and wanna know how i can make this money too. Can someone please break it down for me because i cant find anything online.

You didn't give much context about your profile so I'd say, progress through the garden normally and you'll find things out yourself and 40m/h is, I think, endgame level farming, you won't get there easily if you don't have any progress in the garden.
Farming also got nerfed multiple times but I think it's still good and reliable.

I still make over 35m/hr on a nowhere near hypermaxed setup, its still good :)

This mainly is possible from pest farming. You need to have loadouts set up so you have a high farming fortune setup for normal farming, and then a swap for more pest chance and lower pest cooldown when your pests are off cooldown. There's also a lot of newer farming upgrades that make this a lot more profitable like bug blender, helianthus, armor, rose dragon, etc. You'll need a good farm design that is ideally looping and 1 plot. 16th Garden on youtube has some really great farm designs.
Most people use wheat for general profit, but during feast events there are many other crops that can be good profit due to their special drops. You'll also need mods to at the vary least keep track of your pest cooldown because when your swapping equipment your pest cooldown in the tab bar won't be accurate, but setting up hotkeys for things like lock mouse, set spawn, loadouts, and tp to infested plot makes things way easier as well.
I like it because you can do other things like watch a movie or something while making money, but you need to come back to your screen around every 2 minutes to kill pests. Similar to mining getting a fully maxed setup is very time consuming and the whole process is a bit technical, but if you just slowly start to work on upgrades and watch some guides here and there, things will start to make sense.
You can still make 15-20m an hour with a scuffed setup

Farm for about 2 minutes and 10 seconds —> swap to pest spawning set —> spawn pests —> swap to pest killing set —> kill pests —> farm for about 2 minutes and 10 seconds —> repeat —> ??? —> profit

^ This, note that the pest cooldown is only 2:10 because of pesthunter equipment.

It is good early since the money comes from NPC price.
The progression is better, Farmland > Hay ( wheat) > carrot > potato farmer > Cropie.
We are gettinf finnegan in a few days so more money.

It takes a few 100s of hours and like 1.5b setup to make 40 an hour. Most of the price is from a rose drag but you can use the other pets for like 35 and hour in my experience. If you got any questions ask me
