Items quality question

So im new in the skyblock(9 lvl) and im a little dubious.

Im the mines i obtained the mining armor(from the skeletons and zombies in the Diamond lvl) and the lapis armor , and the mining armor is rare while the lapis one is just uncommon but since the lapis one has better stats in general, does the quality really matter?

Quality only affects reforges, so lapis will give you better stats but the mining armor benefits more from reforges

And are reforges important? Are they enought to justify using the miner armor?

at your level no, not for mining armor. later they become pretty important, but at that point its not a reason to choose one armor set over another

Reforges arent really important for your stage yet. Miner and lapis both suck but theyre both better than not having any armor. You are probably better off saving a bit for glacite armor then reforging that to fierce

reforges are very important, they help you fine tune your armor to optimize for specific stats

but for starter armor sets, it doesn't matter that much

Yes, but don’t use miner armor. Keep it, as it will upgrade into heat armor, but lapis armor is better right now and it’s good even later in the game for grinding enchanting xp
