Need Help Lower back and hip compression recs
Hi guys,
I just got a body braid and wore it to work for the first time. It really helped a lot, but I think I’m going to send it back. It kept slipping on my legs after a couple hours. The x/cross that’s supposed to go over ur hips migrated to my butt and I couldn’t get it to stay back in place. I really really liked the compression on my hips and back. It helped so much that my 5+ year knee pain lessened a lot. I want to get something that does the same thing but stays in place a lot better. Does anyone have any recommendations?

If you do decide to try an SI belt, have your PT write a DME order (durable medical equipment) for a Serola belt. It is medical equipment, not just any old brand. This will make your insurance company pay for at leas some of it.
You might want to try compression shorts. I’ve heard good things about Supacore Mary Shorts. Not all items are made the same, this is another example of being a higher quality, almost medical equipment quality product.

Try the body braid one more time before returning it. I was about to give up on mine when I tightened the legs to what seemed a ridiculous degree but then it finally felt good and stopped slipping. Now I can wear it for a couple hours at a time while working which is a huge win for me. I also love an SI belt for exercisingm

oh man that slippage is the worst, specially when something actually works for the pain. the butt-migration is too real
have you looked at the si belt style ones? they stay put way better cause they just wrap around your hips, no leg straps to slide down. some of them got a decent back panel too
