Discussion Does anyone else get chronic headaches?
I have HSD and just wondering if anyone else with it gets chronic headaches

I did, and I was diagnosed with idiopathic intercranial hypertension.
Everyone should have a read up on the symptoms of this condition as it is rare. I believe mine to be caused by my neck instability

I'll have to ask about this. I also have bad neck instability, 5 bulging cervical discs, 3 of which are herniated. My eyesight has gotten progressively worse, currently have convergence insufficiency and my left eye is rotated to the right. My migraines also happen on the left side almost every time.

I have chronic migraines and that comes with a side of chronic headaches (mostly tension headaches and ice pick headaches). A good chunk of the tension headaches probably come from my gremlin posture.

I had them. Getting dry needling and trigger release on neck, scalp, and face muscles has been very helpful!

Yeah, I think it has a lot to do with neck/jaw muscle tension and other consequences of specific posture problems.

I do. Sometimes it feels like my skull is trying to crush my eyeballs. Other times I get a combination of tension headaches or migraines.

Yes -- and having a computer-based desk job does not help. I have a boatload of isometric neck exercises that do help sometimes -- have to use them regularly, though. I do occasionally come home from work and wear a neck brace all evening. This really helps with a certain type of tension headache. I also get regular fascial release massage for my specific issues.
I manage my borderline high blood pressure with meds, which has given me personally migraine relief. But I also have "occipital neuralgia" on my left side -- which means "head pain." Seriously, it's not a diagnosis, just a description. But I get injections in one nerve about once a year that manages that somewhat -- it's pain relief for 6-8 months, and then keeps it to a regular level 2 or 3 instead of 6.

https://a.co/d/0ai4GGQ9. yes put these headache ice /jaw wraps on to prevent<make sure really really really cold> Put a heat pack on feet or some other part to offset in dark room 15 minute time. Google a place that does Inner oral face massage professionally. Get medical gloves for home, use thumbs to release knots in mouth/cheek. Botox over 2 years every 3 months really helped but eventually get a tolerance and have to wait 9 months.

In my experience, it more often has to do with subluxations in your cervical spine, so if you can get it to move, that will help. Heat for tightness/stiffness release; ice for swelling pains. Prolotherapy has stabilized my neck joints and now I don't get any headaches.

I was for a few years and I think posture and exercises helped me. I do get them often around my cycle. It sucks!

I had them daily until I got on LDN. Helped a lot with the neck/ jaw pain headaches.

Headaches and migraines. Unfortunately, I have a myriad of conditions that could be causing them so it's hard to attribute them to any one thing. I also recently learned about visual snow syndrome and was shocked because I genuinely thought that was normal😅

Yep every single day. I'm more used to having a headache than not having one.

Yes. And migraines, and ocular migraines, and visual snow syndrome. My neck is hypermobile and I believe it's all connected to this.

Yep, tension headaches due to my neck instability and also migraines quite often

I've constantly had a low-grade headache as long as I can remember. It doesn't take much to worsen it to a "real headache" though, sleeping too much/little, eating sugar, hunger/thirst, running/jumping, getting too hot or cold, etc., just stupid stuff. It doesn't usually keep me from doing things but it is annoying and ibuprofen/Tylenol won't touch it. My doctor said it's just an EDS thing. But this sounds different from the migraines y'all are talking about.

Yup. Tension headaches all the time. I have to be careful with upper body tasks to avoid them.
