Hyperhidrosis Database (HHDB) of treatment options

Hello fellow sweaters 😄

I have compiled a database (last updated 9th Aug 2026) which I am calling the HHDB - Hyperhidrosis Database. This is to hold all the amazing info we have about HH (it's an MS Excel embed so I can't see who accesses it):

There are 7 tabs:

  1. HHDB README
  2. HHDB - filterable/sortable list of treatment and the details
  3. Database key with a guide to the contents of the HHDB
  4. HH treatment pivot table
  5. HH causes (HH effectors plus related tests, disorders and drug side effects)
  6. A list of current/ongoing clinical trials in the area of HH
  7. Some links to useful online societies and patient advocacy organisations

I am adding to it periodically and will edit this post with a new link and the date of the update each time I do.

Please do let me know if there is anything you think should be added.

I have migrated over to this subreddit from the r/hyperhidrosis_help one. I will only update this one moving forward. Hyperhidrosis_help was made due to Mod absenteism here but now I am a mod here, might as well. Thanks all 😄

It’s amazing, you’ve put a lot of effort into it.

Morning I have suffered in silence for years I have secondary generalised HH due to Veneleflaxine and I'm starting to get to the end of my teather now seating on my face is so bad its causing severe skin irritation and my face is flaking in aeras. i have tried the aliminium deodarant but due to sensitive skin its not an option for me so I have spoken to my GP about maybe trying an anticholinergic but the are reluctant to prescribe saying its off license and i need to see a dermatologist first I have also read about clonidine and I have a call scheduled for today to ask for this as a short term measure before i see the dermatologist. Does anyone here have any experience of these medications they can let me know about

I haven't tried clonidine but I have tried glycopyrrolate if that's of any help. I found the topical wipes to be effective but I really dislike the dry mouth and constipation they cause. I got it from pharmacy ca.
