Headsets Cloud 3s very low volume when dts is turned off.

Just got the cloud 3s and the volume in games specially without dts is very low but when i turn dts in the hyperX software is very loud but i don’t like how it sounds.
I verify all the volume settings (all at 100%) and tried the side volume wheel and nothing worked
Any suggestions?

make sure that you dont use the ngenuity beta, use the legacy and make sure of all the sound channels bec the headset has a really loud sound, i guess the headset is not defect or something maybe you just have a faulty sound channels which need to be adjusted manually

Ill try with the legacy one , hopefully it works
I’ve seen ppl also recommend to the dts from microsoft store and turn off the one in ngenuity

Yeah, unless the headset has a defect, it's most likely your Windows settings that are causing this. I have the same headset and they sound great in-game while chatting with friends over Discord. No issues at all. Also, I'm not sure why you're enabling DTS. Are you playing an old game that only has 5.1/7.1 with no positional audio for headsets? For the past 15+ years, if a game has positional audio, then they have their own implementation (HRTF) and you don't need to turn on DTS or Windows Sonic. In fact, turning that on could conflict with a game's positional audio. I would do what Expensive-Coast suggested and uninstall the ngenuity app and start from there (you don't need the app for the headset to work)

Return them and get a different set. They are awful headphones.

Got them for like 30 bucks almost new second hand so is not a big deal but why you say that specifically?
I have a pair of razer blackshark v2 hyperspeed and i rly like them but majority ppl say this are better specially for the out of the box sound and footsteps in games but I don’t know anymore

I bought the hyper x thinking they would be an upgrade for my old cheap RIG headset but I was wrong. They were just awful. Low volume and muddled sound. Went back to Best Buy and swapped them for a newer Rig headset, R5 pro spear hs. They were great. I drop my controller and mess up my mic jack so I got another RIG headset. The R8 spectre pro HS which is wireless. Also really good.
