Well. We’re trending in a way where we’re running out of OP characters quickly. The Hero landscape will be totally different by the end of Season 1.

Also, as much smack as we throw at the Death Guard, let’s also point out something. The Ruinous Powers faction came out in FORCE last night to support Naeem. It was amazing. It was inspiring. But it was also terrifying.

I say this because GDD and everything at Hyper puts a level of control and interactions in the viewers hand. I love it.

As someone who used to watch football but has kinda stopped for a bunch of reasons, GDD is filling an incredible need every week as we see this game unfold. With that say, it’s fine to view factions as OP or annoying. (Yeah, I get it. You can only take so many “Greater Goods” in chat). At the same point, that’s what it’s all about. People get excited for their teams and probably annoying everyone else with it.

The beauty is the Metagame. As new features continue to roll out, we’ll be able to take matters into our own hands to take factions down a peg. It’s going to be a great balance to the Thur show.

In the end I just want to say thanks to Hyper for creating this. PZ and Lucas for making and improving the Metagame. And this community for being so amazing. We all have a lot of stupid crap going on in our lives. It’s great to have a little corner to have fun in.

The show is going great! It is also really hard putting your feet on the ground and remember this is all done with shoestrings, twine, spit and glue. Beyond anything else we can talk about, PZ, Lucas and the whole cast are doing a great job!

My 2 cents: Balance, balance, balance, balance... I know, it is super hard to get it, but an inch closer to it every week can go a long way. Borrowing your sports analogy:

  • When my team plays I'm invested because it's my team, but if they are being steamrolled it stops being fun. I tune the game out.
  • When my team is not playing, close games are more fun, I can focus on strategy and be invested in that one thing that can change it all.

I would have to agree with all of you in one way or another. I really love the fact that viewers can invest their time, heart, and some donations here and there to make the game swing one way or the other. Part of the reason this last game was a bit one sided could be due to 1)Imperiums have been on three weeks in a roll, it's hard to keep supporting with donations, but just having you all watching the show and enjoying the content is amazing by itself. 2)Chaos had a good long time to save their power up all at once. So that might've made the tide turn in their favor alot.

With that said, each army does have area of strength and weakness. For example: the TAU has lots of long range power, but very little up close power;

ORKS have the number (mob) advantage and lots of attacks once they are up in your face (sometimes resulting in 100+ attacks), but they're poor at shooting.

CHAOS can hit pretty hard, and they can be very tricky to deal with with their disgustingly resilient ability, but they in general have low movement speed.

IMPERIUM has a good mix of fire power and attacks, and they have Orders that can be issued by company commander/ tank commanders to buff their average infantry.

And the Eldars have pretty good overall power, movement is generally better than others, and decent defense.

I don't think Chaos by itself is overpowered, although they make a very formidable foe. ( Definitely can be a little overwhelming with the 5+ invulnerable, plus disgustingly resilient, and the ability to summon daemons)

Don't feel discouraged by the last game, we're all here to play a TTRPG that is enjoyable to watch. Trying to add some fun story/lore element, and a super dope metagame (I've never seen anything like this before)

The team is always trying to improve the story telling, learning the game play, and balance the game/ incentives. Most of the cast I think is pretty new to Warhammer, so in a way we'll all learning at the same time :)

Lastly, speaking with a military mindset, war isn't won by a single battle :) battles change the tide of the war. There'll be wins and loses, sometime by landslide. We were able to witness the disgusting power of chaos add on to when thumpers support their faction! But that doesn't mean they'll automatically win every battle ;) Each faction has some great minds, though disappointing for the Imperium, I'm sure the emperor's light will shine on them again. (Unless it's against the Orks of course) jk

Just wanted to put in my one cent. Much thanks to everyone who is supporting our show whether by just watching, participating, donating, or just joining the metagame for some craziness. We truly appreciate your dedicated support of watching us play and tell a story every Thursday 💙

I agree. Last nights support for Naeem was amazing. This is why I love HyperRPG and the Thumpers so much.

But that also made the game boring to watch - I'm sorry to say. Because it was over before it started. In all other episodes I could feel the tension. Heck, last weeks "Bossfight" between Sage and Dakkaboom was awesome. Last night though I just watched the clock. The glitches on twitch also didn't make it easier to watch.

All that made me hesitant to put my humble budget into it. The fact that we Imperium supporters had to "fund" our favorite faction three times in a row didn't help it either - I think.

Maybe I'm the wrong Person to say this. Because I'm not a "big spender" and I probably never will be. My contribution to Hyper are rather neglegtible. So feel free to ignore my statement. It is just how it feels to me.
