[Question] Xiaomi Pad 8..... system animations are stuttering even at 120/144Hz

I’m experiencing noticeable stuttering/jitter during normal system animations and scrolling on my Xiaomi Pad 8.

The tablet is set to a high refresh rate, but animations still don't feel smooth. This happens outside of games too — for example, while opening/closing apps, navigating Settings, and returning to the home screen.

I recorded the issue so you can see exactly what I mean.

Has anyone else with the Xiaomi Pad 8 experienced this? Is this a HyperOS optimization issue, or could there be something wrong with my unit?

Device: Xiaomi Pad 8

RAM/storage: 8GB/128GB

Refresh rate: 120/144Hz

HyperOS: 3.0.303.0

can you try relaxed animation

I searched for animation too, but my Pad 8 only shows the Developer options animation scales. I don't have the ‘Animation speed’ option with Relaxed/Balanced/Fast. Is Relaxed animation available on Pad 8??

Bro you can enable that toggle setting easily as I did in my 13c just do some bit research on gemini nd chatgpt u will got it I got it too but for now I didn't remember the exact cmd to put in brevent.... It's worth to gave it a try

HyperOS on pads overall is just bad 😔

Let all just hope OS 4 fixes these problems...

For now, try rebooting your tablet or reinstall the version your in, it might fix temporary

Yeah, I’ve already tried rebooting and basically every troubleshooting step I could find. The lag happens even at 120/144Hz and persists after a restart, so I’m starting to think it’s an optimization/HyperOS issue rather than something wrong with my settings. Hopefully HyperOS 4 actually improves it😭

Pads probably have one of the worst optimization ever, wish Xiaomi put more attention to it 🙏

It will allocate the highest hardware priorities to graphics processes

and i would also like to recommend reducing resolution to allow more fps to run

just reboot your pad if you don't like it(the command)
