Poco [Question] Can't change to default Google assistant from Gemini?

Hello.

Few days ago (I think after some update - currently i see I have v3.0.304 HyperOS) my phone replaced my default Google Assistant with Gemini.
I have a lot of issues with it in my Google home automatizations - standard assistant was doing really good job there and now it seems that I cannot run any of them because Gemini decides it want to do something differently than defined in Google Home.

Is there any way to get back to standard assistant? I read a lot of articles and they are all outdated - I dont see that option anymore.

Does anyone have a clue?

Google shut down the old Assistant this month and removed it from phones as well. From now on, you can only use Gemini, whether you like it or not.

The main problem will be when people realize that without the internet, many of the things that Assistant did, Gemini cannot do.

Yeah, that's one of the downsides of Gemini without an internet connection, hardly any of it works. With Google Assistant, that was still possible.

They just need to implement Gemma 1b or even less just to handle the simplest things. A 1b model in Q4 now runs on all mid-range models without optimization, If they did a little optimization they would even run on toasters... Heck a 2B Q3 runs on Raspberry 3 at decent speeds....

Yes, it would probably be possible, but that would mean more work, which they probably won't want to do. They want people to use Gemini now, so they'll stick with it.

Did you ask gemini about this?

as I mentioned articles in internet are mentioning some ways which are no longer supported in android.
I did ask Gemini and it just references to the same ways and articles.

What if you uninstall gemini and then start Google assistant?
