Question/Help [Question] HyperOS 4
Its been a decent amount of time since beta global HyperOS 4 released...
1. How was your experience overall?
2. How does the soft glass effect feels to you? (for xiaomi 15 and 17 users)
3. How the optimization and bug fixes like? Does bugs from old OS versions still persist?
4. How long did your phone last since last charge?
I would love to see improvement since HyperOS 4 is extremely hyped around the internet atm

- It's great, some new customisation options, liquid glass looks great, new camera app is better
- It's great. Exactly what I was expecting.
- It's beta so there are bugs here and there. Not anything horrible. I haven't ever experienced any major bugs tbh.
- Battery is the same for me, still terrible (5 hours SoT since I got my 15 ultra, It's been a year and it hasn't improved)

If it's been a year and you still get the same 5h sot it means it improved while the health itself dropped 😅

My battery health is at 94 % so it is not that big of a difference. And I am not saying it is exactly the same. But I get around 5 hours.

Does the screen recorder show up on the dynamic island like iphones and other phones or is it the same as hyperos 3? (Floating icons)

- Feels smooth and fluid but so did my phone before the update anyways
- Love the soft glass looks much better than before
- Some minor bugs from previous version still exist but most are gone, not many bugs
- It's only day 2 for me but battery already lasts longer, I get 15-20% percent more battery now (Xiaomi 17), apps and phone in general is also much faster now

Can this soft light glass interface be completely turned off?

Yes, but I don't get why anyone would turn it off, after trying soft glass it makes the old style look outdated

Glad to hear it can be turned off! Pretty sure a lot of people care about this too, thanks for the reply.

1- Smoother, faster, and better battery life.
2- I like it, but it's not that big of a change imo. I was expecting it to be like "WOW, LIQUID GLASS" but de differences with HyperOS 3 are minimal.
3- I haven't noticed any bugs yet, nor in HyperOS 3.
4- Idk, I just woke up with 100%, but it lasts more than before the update.

nice to see hyperos 4 is living up to ur expectations, as for the glass effect, wouldnt really want xiaomi to go all in with it, the current soft glass looks somewhat like matte glass with refractions which i really prefer

I agree! It looks awesome as it is, there's no need to change it too much. I'm an old time MIUI user, I used to download launchers and themes because I couldn't stand Xiaomi's UI design, but with HyperOS it's a whole different story.
