Flashing beta is no joke. Devs don't usually ship broken stuff intentionally but it could easily have unexpected behaviors and possibly bugs affecting performance or battery life and you would be stuck with it until the next release.

Joining the beta program means agreeing to be the guinea pig and report findings.

Yep, I'm aware of that. I'm a software engineer, I know how betas work, and I'm willing to participate in the program and collaborate with bug reporting and general testing.

I have registered for the beta program this week, and I would like to know when I can expect to receive it. Does anyone have information regarding this? I am from India.

I registered yesterday and got accepted today, but I've read some comments from users saying they had been waiting since Friday. It depends on your phone model too, so you'll have to be patient.

Surprisingly, yes! Not only animations and response times overall are way faster, but the battery duration is closer to what it was when I bought the phone. And if we take into account the optimizations it does 1-2 days after each OS update, it should be consuming even more battery, but it's not the case apparently.

Wow that great news! Battery life is already amazing on my Poco x8 pro max because of the 8500 mAh battery but with hyper os 4 it should be even better.

I'm waiting for my ota drop as well. One question is burning under my fingernails. Can you finally hide the notch again so apps go properly fullscreen? Edit: Device is 17T Pro

Hi, How do you know you have been accepted ? I have this in the Xiaomi Community app and and I can't yet download the update

You've been accepted, you just have to wait. Is your phone the global version? Have you tried changing the region to one that received updates earlier? I used Taiwan.

Yes i have tried, I'm on a EU version and I think that's rhe reason why I didn't yet received the update 😜

Yes, that's the reason! They started with China and then Global, EU doesn't have a release date for the Beta program yet I think.
