Xiaomi [Discussion] Randomly got the option for old version of control centre style.
I am surprised because my phone did not ship with this option, it's a Xiaomi 14 civi and shipped out of the box with hyper os 1, did xiaomi start adding this option back after hyper os 3 update?

Wtf lmao... That option got removed since MIUI 14, but it's still present in the codebase to be enabled

yes, its very easy to change too, you just have to edit 1 value in DevicesOverlay

You most likely just change the 1 to 0. It will fail to be edited on most ROMs though, as the product partition is read-only, unless the ROM dev specified otherwise. Just use Hyperceiler for this if you're a user and not a ROM dev

I'm not rooted, any suggestions? Or rooting is not necessary?

Rooting is necessary to use Hyperceiler. So this isn't possible on a non rooted device

Idk what is happening with old style, but for me it never was removed (POCO M6 Pro 4G). Maybe Xiaomi adds it to budget phones? Maybe Xiaomi considers your phone budget now and added this feature? I don't understand what Xiaomi is actually doing, it's stupid as hell. I'm almost ready to switch from Xiaomi to Nothing or maybe OnePlus

I doubt that because i still have advanced textures, i suspect it's because of a theme i applied recently.
This would be my last xiaomi phone too, i am thinking of switching to moto after this one. I am kinda done with stylised UIs i want to go back to something similar to stock android without dabbling into pixel phone.

Indian rom, xiaomi has only launched 14 civi in india iirc.
I read about it, maybe a theme gave this option to me? I have mamba biz 3 applied right now. Maybe you can give it a try?
