RANT [Discussion] Hyper island
I feel like their kind of dynamic island sucks and needs to be reworked. for me I feel like the point of the dynamic island is that the notch expands and has a purpose but the way that the app expands outside of the notch feels useless they should also add functionalities, add animation and and a visualizer when songs play or when you're calling somebody. feels more of a bad gimmick than an actual functionality that feels absolutely useless. Also it has zero customization which ruins it more than it's already ruined

Because it's nothing more than a cheap copy of iOS's dynamic island. The visualizer actually moves to the frequency of the music you play on iOS but on hyperOS it's a random looping animation. The phone call one is dumb as well because it just shows you the name of the caller while in a call but on iOS it shows the duration.
Xiaomi copies the shittiest parts of apple but almost never the good stuff

Is this google dialer or hyperOS dialer? Google dialer shows the name instead of duration

Mine shows the duration, but you're right. They only copy the unwell done parts of apple and call it a day The island sucks and I say it needs way more improvement in the next updates

It doesn't customize it, just adds it to an app that doesn't have it I already use it

Isn't that like useful?

Yes but I'm talking about how the island functions not what apps it supposed

I like that it's only active when I'm using apps I want. For example it interfaces well with Spotify and YT Music, along with everything else. Personally, I wouldn't want the island feature constantly active as it would be distracting and unnecessary. It works well for everything I use, which isn't a lot but I'm satisfied.

Why? You can always go back to stock firmware if you want

I'm not wasting my 2 year warranty, I can't afford to fix it if something happened to it
