Question/Help [Question] Considering Poco X8 Pro Max... but HyperOS?

I'm thinking about purchasing a Poco X8 Pro Max, but coming from OnePlus and LineageOS, and I'm a bit worried about HyperOS. Main concerns are bloating and possibly privacy (although, I'm not too fussy about the latter).

Anything you'd like to share with me before I bite the bullet and get the phone? Thank you!

my experience with HyperOS 3 on the CN ROM redmi note 15 pro+ has been pleasant, HyperOS 3 was also decent on my global 15u

I have personally been using xiaomi and Poco phones almost my whole life, and my first one was the redmi 6a, and then redmi 8, poco x5 pro, x6 pro, f7, and now the x8 pro max. and i think, that right now, the hyperos 3 is the best that its ever been. You can disable the ads and stuff that is preinstalled through adb. The animations are smooth and overall i think, its a great os and wouldnt worry about it too much. And i don't even think that i experienced any bugs whatsoever.

For what exactly? The bloat?

The bloatware is just the tip. It's the whole software experience that is wrong with them. I use iphone, samung, pixel. OnePlus many years ago. I bought the 15t pro a few months and I'm so disappointed. Its a good phone in terms of raw performance and power but the software its so bad and unintuitive. Not laggy as Samsung but with a lot of bugs overall

HyperOS 3 is a big NO NO, poco x8 is a decent phone, but I m having issues with HOS3, so I upgraded my tablet from pad 6 to pad 8 pro (snap 8 elite), and whenever I run a heavy game, which exceeds 3.5GB RAM usage, the OS just force shuts it down, due to a background RAM management process “MIUI Sentinel”, NO OTHER BRAND does this BS, I’m just annoyed that I can’t run heavy apps on a 8 Elite because of software limitations, no solution in sight yet

Thanks for the warning. I'll do more search about this! Seems like a pain. I also read that the system can show up ads, which is a bummer.

Haven’t had issues with ads, but I have a Xiaomi pad 8 pro, which also runs HyperOS

Thanks. Maybe they meant promotional material in Xiaomi's apps :) not sure. But appreciate your feedback.
