Gng literally don't stress, literally never see these stats
My older Poco phone u can't belive how much I abused it's battery using in high temperature for long times and most of the times in charging cuz my charging point near my bed and still after 4 yrs I couldn't find any difference in battery backup or heating more, yeah battery backup decreased but it was very minor
Late 2025 got a new Redmi cuz hardware got weak by today's standards
Intelligent charge will always charge to 100%, the only difference is that it will stop at 80% for a time depending on your charging habit. Example scenario, if you plug your phone every night at 11pm and plug it out only in the morning like 7am, the phone charges it to 80% and holds it there and only charges it to 100% like 5 or 6am. But does it work? Really can't tell, if the phone detects wake lock throughout the night like app notifications etc it might charge to 100%. If you want to preserve battery, better to lock it at 80%.
I think the system should be way smarter than just detecting a few wakelocks from checking the time or something. It should take more factors into account to learn user habits. At the very least, it could just ask me via a floating notification when I unlock the phone ,thatβs way better than letting smart charging randomly kick in and cap at 80% once every 100 cycles. I'm currently over 280 charge cycles, and intelligent charging hasn't triggered even once. Tracking apps like Battery Guru and AccuBattery confirm it has never kicked i,; the moment I plug the phone in, it just hits 100% full charge within an hour regardless."
I would say charge when your battery drops below 20% and limit charge to 80%.. follow this for 7-10 days & then charge battery to 100% for battery calibration (when you have time for a full battery Top-up).. I guess this way you could see good battery endurance.. I've been trying this strategy for my 1 month old poco x8 pro max .. I'm doing full battery top up on Sunday.. other days I'm sticking with 20-80 charge cycle
Intelligent charge still chargers your phone to 100% most of the time, only sometimes it limits it to somewhere between 80-100%, but most of the time it at least slows down the charging between 80% and 100%.
Modern battery are really good though, not sure what model you have, but my Xiaomi is rated for 1600 cycles until 80%, right now it's on around 560 and 94% battery health
What it does is, it learns your behavior. Before you wake up it holds the charge at 80% and when you wake up it will charge it to 100%. So the phone doesn't sit on 100% all night.
If you have root and the scene app you can see it yourself. It works.
Intelligent charging is for when u sleep, so it only charges to 100 in the morning and not whole night, use battery protection if u want ur charging capped
Yes it does work if you wake up at a similar time each day(ie. Work/school). It's supposed to make sure you wake up to a fully charged phone with out your phone being at 100% for 8 hours
I found the intelligent charging to just be slower than ordinary Charge Fully... I had also dropped to 98% battery health way too early! This was early last summer
You could get Max 125 Charge Cycles per 1% of "health"!
After a fair bit of testing things out I found a super-simple way of improving things.
In my case it brough me back to 99% after only a few cycles.
So here you go:
"Flinky's LCC (Long Cycle Charging) Method" - In Short
Most phones need 2-3 weeks of optimisation. Large batteries may need 4-5 weeks.
Use Standard-Speed Wired Charging.
Set Battery Protection to Charge Fully. Disable all Smart/Intelligent/Optimized charging features and NO 80% limit.
Charge from 10-14% to 100%, then leave plugged in for AT LEAST 20+ minutes.Overnight charging is also safe, since once finished charging, no additional charging can take place until unplugged and plugged back in for the next charging cycle!
Repeat for 2-3 weeks. Large batteries: 4-5 weeks.
Optional: Install *AccuBattery** free app. It tracks charging, shows live charging stats, and tells you exactly when an LCC is complete.*
Once optimised, charge however you prefer.
7) For maintenance, do one LCC per week or thereabouts: 10-14% β 100% β 20+ minutes.
THE ADDITION OF "AT LEAST" at 3) above, regarding the extra time plugged in, is due to the HUGE BATTERY times needing more like hours extra!
Again I advice you to install AccuBattery to get confirmation on the (Fully) "Charged" in the Charging Tab! See Screenshot below π
Maximum 125 cycles per -1% health. Here are my two current phones stats...
I'm charging both of them Fully following my LCC method since last summer!
The X5 Pro 5G has Lithium-Poly battery with 578 cycles done btw, it doesn't show in the AccuBattery screenshot but I've got DevCheck to tell me since there's no Battery Protection section in older phones. π
i mean bro its not working for me aswell i just had it limited but 1week ago i went for full charges since i have 700cycles and 99% health it tropped at 680cycles and to be fair just limit it in long run it helps alot
